10BBL horizontal bright tanks are generally used in some breweries with limited space and height. To save some space, bright tanks can be stacked. You can usually see this type of bright tank in Europe due to the old building and height. Its advantage is that it saves space, and a larger number of brite tanks can be placed in the same area. But its shortcomings are also very obvious. Tanks that are too low or too high are difficult to clean and maintain.
Also, due to antiquated brewing techniques, some European brewers remove the yeast from the top of the fermentation tank and transfer the beer after primary fermentation in open-top fermentation tanks to horizontal bright tanks for conditioning.
